From Kintetsu Nara Station
Walk east from the station on Noboriōji Street for fifteen minutes to the museum
Take the Nara City Loop Line Bus No. 2 (Clockwise Route) to the Himuro Shrine/National Museum stop
Take either the Nara Park or Omiya routes of the Gurutto Bus to the Daibutsuden-Mae Parking Lot stop and walk five minutes

From JR Nara Station

From Kansai International Airport (KIX)
Take the JR Nara Station bound Airport Limousine Bus; get off at the JR Nara Station (East Exit) stop

Take the Nara/Tenri bound Airport Limousine Bus; get off at the JR Nara Station (East Exit) stop

Parking Lot

There are no special parking spaces for museum visitors. Please use the parking lots nearby.

Noboriōji tourist parking lots	6:00 AM to 10:00 PM
Daibutsumae tourist parking lots	9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Takabatake tourist parking lots	9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

From Nagoya

Take the Nishi–Meihan Expressway, exit from the Tenri Interchange to Route 169, and travel north for about 15 minutes.

From Osaka

Take the Daini–Hanna Road, exit from Horai Interchange to Route 369, and travel east (for about one minute after passing the Nara Prefectural Office). Take the Nishi–Meihan Expressway, exit from the Tenri Interchange to Route 169, and travel north for about 15 minutes.

From Kyoto

Take the Keinawa Expressway, exit from Kizu Interchange to Route 24, travel south. Turn onto Route 369 and travel east for about one minute.
