This exhibition explores approximately 6,000 years of human history by showcasing a carefully selected collection from the vast holdings of the Tenri University Sankokan Museum, which boasts over 300,000 artifacts from around the world, alongside Buddhist artworks from the Nara National Museum. The exhibition is structured into three sections: “The Crossroads of Civilizations,” “The World of Gods and Mystical Wonders,” and “Reminiscence of the 20th Century.” Featuring around 220 pieces, primarily archaeological and ethnographic materials, the exhibition includes rare artifacts found only in the Tenri University Sankokan Museum, as well as works being displayed to the public for the first time. We invite you to embark on a journey through time and space!
