The height of this helmet is characteristic of types from the continent, though its visor resembling that of a baseball cap is seen in Japanese helmets. This helmet, resplendent in its unsparing use of gilt bronze sheets, is likely to have announced the authority of anyone wearing it, its gold and continental influence both reflecting their power.
