The Ruihi Shō (Compilation of Various Secrets) is a text recording knowledge into various aspects of esoteric Buddhist practice, including the deities that serve as the principal objects of worship during esoteric rites and ritual procedures. It is primarily focused on explications of buddhas, bodhisattvas, the Wisdom Kings, and other deities of the Buddhist pantheon, enfolding myriad Buddhist texts while offering a wealth of iconographic information and teachings gained through the oral transmissions of predecessors.
