These hanging scrolls are the maps of the manor owned by Tōdai-ji temple in the Echizen and Etchū provinces. This type of maps were made when temple manors were inspected. Originally the maps introduced in this article were accompanied by other extant maps of Tōdai-ji temple manor which are now kept in the Shōsō-in treasure house.
