Relief carvings of a rough woven fence line the sides of this paulownia hibachi. Behind the fence are sprays of engraved pampas grass and chrysanthemums with petals inlaid with shell and boxwood and leaves inlaid with black persimmon, tortoise shell, and lead. The wood grain radiating from the plants enhances the decorative effect.
