The lid of this red sandalwood lidded Jar has a flowermotif done in red-stained ivory, black sandalwood, and boxwood marquetry. The seven stars inlayed with boxwood and green-stained deer horn on the upper sides are similar to those seen on the box-frame base (tatamizuri) of the Red Sandalwood Sugoroku Board with Marquetry in the Shōsō-in(North Section 37).
