This is a box for storing robes and personal belongings. A stylized and modern bamboo fence is depicted in vivid black, green and red lacquer at the base of the box’s interior. Pieces of lead affixed to the fence create a rich sense of materiality, and shimmering mother of pearl inlay (raden) offers gorgeous accents throughout.
