This flower-shaped dish has a gorgeous border that draws out the mottling of tortoiseshell, and there is a small flower done in mother of pearl inlay (raden) at its center. Crystal has been placed over painted colors in the middle of the raden flower. Although made in recent decades, this masterwork revives traditional materials and techniques.
