These documents by powerful figures such as Retired Emperor Go-Uda and Ichijō Uchitsune recognized the continuation of the territorial rights of Kakuan-ji Temple over the Kanaoka-Higashi Estate. As Kakuan-ji was then subordinate to Saidai-ji Temple, the first two documents are addressed to Sen’yu, who was known as Jōkaku Shōnin and was the abbot of Saidai-ji.
