This is one among many deities that appear withinthe second level of the jōjin-e (katsuma-e), the center section of the Kongōkai (Diamond World) mandala. A lotus flower mitting beams of light is depicted below, and is the deity’s Samayagyō (form that symbolizes the deity). It appears to be a work from Kontai butsugajō (Notebook of Buddhist paintings from the Diamond and Womb Worlds), acollection of polychromatic iconographical drawings.
