This is one scroll of 600 old manuscripts that werecollected by the monk Eion during the Kamakura period in order to complete the full set of scrolls that makes up the Daihannyakyō. Eion punctuatedall the scrolls in vermilion ink over the course of two years beginning in 1232 (Jôei 1) at Kōfukujitemple.
