The triad of Jūichimen Kannon (Eleven-headed Avalokiteśvara, Skt. Ekadaśamukha), Fudō Myōō (Sk.Acala) and Bishamonten (Sk. Vaiśravaṇa) are riveted to the bronze plate of this hanging plaque that is meant to resemble the surface of a mirror. The composition of this triad of revered deities is frequently seen in images from the Tendai tradition of Buddhism, and thus it is thought that this item is based on worship practices at Hie-Sannō or Hakusan, shrines that were associated with Tendai Buddhism.
