The reliquary shrine seen here has doors on both sides. The front opens to reveal an inset Treasure Casket Seal Stupa (hōkyōintō) in gilt bronze, a stupa iconography ubiquitous at the time. The back contains a panel with an image of the Buddha Śākyamuni of the Golden Wheel as well as the Cloister of the Central Dais with Eight Petals (chūdai hachiyōin) from the Womb Realm Mandala. A bound copy of the Lotus Sutra is stored inside and inscribed with the year Karoku 2.
