This iconographical collection depicts deities suchas Tobatsu Bishamonten (a variant of Vaiśravana),Fugen Emmei Bosatsu (Skt. Samantabhadra) and Juntei Kannon (Skt. Cundi), as well as the myriad deities located in the gekongōbuin section of the Taizōkai (Womb World) mandala. It has the same content as the Daigo-ji Temple iconographical manual Shishu goma honzon oyobi kenzoku zuzō inscribed to 1213 (Kenryaku 3). The inscription on the Daigo-ji Temple version states that the originalwork was compiled by Chisen, a leading disciple of Kūkai’s (774-835).
