Three five-element stupas are lined up above the ring-shaped section of this finial from a monk's staff, and there is a treasure stupa at the center flanked by a pair of flower vases. Refined metalworking technique is revealed in the perfected form of the robust lotus flower’s delicate expression and the intricate carving of the petals. Indeed, this is an important example of the finial of a monk’s staff.
