A triad of Buddhist deities seated on clouds is at the center of the heart-shaped ring of this finial that would have crowned a monk’s staff. There are other deities to the right and left of the central triad. A treasure stupa appears at the very top of the finial. Originally, five or six metal rings that would have sounded when rattled were affixed to this finial, but all have been lost.
