This is a journal of chief Tendai abbot Prince Son'en's record of his tour of the various temple halls on Mt.Hiei to which he paid homage after his appointment as chief abbot of the Tendai school. This record reports his departure from the capital, Kyoto,on the ninth day of the eighth month of the first year of the Shōkyō era (1332) and records his activity until his return on the 13th. Prince Son'en was a famed calligrapher, who is considered the founder of the Shōren-in school of calligraphy, and this journal in his own hand is particularly precious.
