The dragon-shaped head and the form of this bell is similar to examples from this country, but in its lack of registers of vertical bands and motifs of bodhisattvas and heavenly musicians depicted on its surface, it shares characteristics of bells originating in the Korean peninsula. Its inscription tells us that it was produced in Tsushima.
