This transcription of the Heart Sutra has been copied onto a single sheet of paper. Similar transcriptions are found at institutions in Japan and abroad, including a Nara-period manuscript at Karyūō-ji Temple (also known as Sumidera) in Nara. It appears that several sheets were originally joined together and mounted as a handscroll.
