Senju Kannon (Skt. Sahasrabhuja) stands diagonally, while below, a lay noble sits at the bottom of the circle, hands together in gasshō. The layperson appears to be having an audience with the deity. The painting appears to be the pictorialization of a dream, or it may have been used in memorial services for the layperson depicted. This is a rare work created no later than the mid-Kamakura period.
