Tekagami is a general term for an album in which snippets of calligraphy have been pasted for the appreciation of the excellent calligraphy of old masters and as models for writing practice. This album contains 206 leaves with fragments of varying len beginning with a passage from the Kengukyō(Sutraof the Wise and the Foolish) that had long bee thought to be in the hand of Emperor Shōmu.
