The Zakkenshū is a collection of records dealing with Esoteric Buddhist rites. The first volume contains accounts concerned with prayers for rain, and the second volume records the procedures and illustrations for various rites. The seal impression at the beginning of the scroll reveals that this work had been in the collection of Kōzan-ji temple at Toganoo in Kyoto.
