Standing on a rock in the midst of the sea and holding a sword and lariat is Fudō, the Wisdom King Acala. He is accompanied by his attendants, the youths Kongara (Skt. Kiṃkara), who holds a lotus blossom and a single-pronged pestle-shaped vajra, and Seitaka (Ceṭaka), who hold a staff and a three-pronged vajra. Beside them is Kurikara Ryūō, a dragon king transformation of Fudō, who is about to swallow his sword. This type of pictorial representation emphasizing movement is typical of the Kamakura period.
