Sixty fan paintings are mounted to the pages of this accordion-bound book. The paintings are on many themes, encompassing such genres as landscape painting, flower and bird painting, famous sites, and scenes of people. Many of them are by painters from the renowned Kanō school, though some are thought to be by Tosa-school painters. Inscriptions have been left by high-ranking priests of such powerful Zen temples as Nanzenji.
