This cylindrical container has a design carved from tortoiseshell and an fitted lid. An intricate design has been carved into the exterior, which at first glance evokes a sense of deeply carved tsuishitsu lacquer. The surface of the lid displays a multi-storied buildings and human figures in a scene that seem to illustrate some tale.
