East Wing
The East Wing holds special exhibitions and the Annual Exhibition of Shōsōin Treasures. The facility is also used for small exhibitions of featured artworks.
About the building
Built in 1997, the East Wing was designed by architect Junzō Yoshimura (1908–1997), who also designed the West Wing, to which it connects via the central entrance hall.
